Waiuku Women's 1st Team turn a 1st round 3-1 loss into a 2-2 draw in the 2nd round. The Ladies travelled to Eastern Suburbs on Sunday for the start of the 2nd round. They started out strong, with some good football played. With goals to Gemma Gouwland & Lisa Wooles the Women went in at half time 2-1 up. Although the Waiuku Women kept playing hard, Suburbs managed to grab another goal to draw the match 2-2 at full time.
The Waiuku Women's 1st Team now look forward to a home match for the 1st round of the NZ Women's Knockout Cup, on Sunday 15th June, against Papakura, 12.30p.m. kick off. |
