The Waiuku 11th grade Wekas have gone through the grading round unbeaten and have taken the top title by scoring 50 goals and only conceding 4 in 7 matches.This is a great result for the team and had a real run to the top with Pukehohe all the way,it came down to the last game where we needed Pukehohe to lose or draw to win the title ,they drew 2 all with Clendon which is just what we needed. Some of the players to mention are Alan Turoa Barnett who slammed home 18 goals and followed closely by Simon Peat with 11 goals most of the team scored and we are looking forward to the championship round to start. Another mention has to be Callum Senior who as his first start in goal went through with out conceding any goals,he also scored 5 goals while on the field as a player also. The rest of the team did a excellent job and all of the guys need a pat on the back. Well done Wekas
