Waiuku travelled to the Napier U19 National Satellite Tournament for the first time this year, confident of doing well. The side were manged by Keith Ralph, with Colin Pegg coaching. In addition several parents also accompanied the squad to assist with various tasks in order to give the team the best chance possible.

Waiuku will be sending an U19 Mens team to this years Napier Tournament which covers the Labour Weekend in Oct. The team will consist of players from the 1st Team, Reserves, YDS and possibly 2 guest players. Criteria will be that a player must be 19 years of age on or after 1st January 1991 and due to a lower age limit, 15 on or before 2...

On home soil, the Waiuku ladies suffered a devastating loss in Round 2 of the Womens Knockout Cup. The Div 2 side faced Div 1 opponents, Fencibles, and dominated, with what supporters reviewed to be their best performance all season. Although the final score was 3-2, Waiukus defence claimed credit for three of the five goals, while its strike force took the other two.

The month of May presented a miserable sequence of defaulted matches and byes for the Waiuku Womens Premiers. But finally after three consecutive soccerless weekends, the ladies have picked up where they left off, taking out a 5-3 win over Ellerslie.

Waiuku took on Waikato/Bay of Plenty division team Te Awamutu in their first New Zealand wide knockout game called the Chatham Cup. Waiuku didn't have it all their own way however even though Te Awamutu play in a division below as they went 2-0 down within 15 minutes only to run riot in the second half and take the game 5-2.
