Waiuku's game against Onehunga Sport only took a mere 3 minutes for Jesse Smyth-Kirk to open the scoring after running onto a precise through ball from the midfield catching the opposition defence quite square.

Waiuku Women's Div.1. Team played another of Auckland's Top Teams, Three Kings, on Sunday.

The third week in, the Women’s Reserves took on Papatoetoe at Murdoch Park. 

A strong start by both teams saw consistency of play down both ends of the field.   The back line were in full force again with exceptional play by Jahna Stephens, Shirley Patterson (player of the day), Jodie Dempster and Emma Thomson.  Unfortunately nearing the end of the first half, Papatoetoe took a sharp right shot bring the score to 1-0 in the first half.

Oh, so close to back to back wins, but the game can change in an instant. Twice we had the lead against Ellerslie but for now, the top of the table will have to wait for us.

Waiuku Womens 1st Team travelled to Seddon Fields on Sunday to play a strong Western Springs side boosted by three Premier players.

Outstanding football was played by both sides in excessive windy conditions.

Waiuku Premier Reserves played Fencibles at Massey Park in front of a large home crowd. The game started with great intensity with both sides looking to take the 3 points for a win.

Waiuku AFC's Kentish Premiers travelled to Western Springs in their first ever match in the new inter-Federation soccer league, and delighted their club and supporters with a convincing 2-1 win.

The Waiuku Premier Reserves' rise from division 4 to division 2 seemed to be a good call as they played Bay Olympic. From the outset Waiuku seemed to dominate the game with the strikers John Whittaker and Jesse Smyth-Kirk creating numerous chances which saw Whittaker score the only goal.

On Sunday, the Waiuku Womens' 1st Division Team took on Eastern Suburbs in a hard fought battle under the hot sun at Massey Park, for the 1st game of the season.

The opening game of the season saw the women’s 3^rd division facing an Onehunga Sports side that finished high in the tables last year. With our girls stepping up a division from last year they went into this one the under-dogs, but a 4-2 victory proved they are anything but out of their league.

The 5-0 scoreline is a testament to just how clinical the Waiuku performance was down at Huntly on Saturday afternoon. It becomes even more impressive when put in context... with the game only lasting 55 minutes before a mutual decision between referee and team captains brought the game to an early conclusion.
