Waiuku Womens 1st Team travelled to Seddon Fields on Sunday to play a strong Western Springs side boosted by three Premier players.

Outstanding football was played by both sides in excessive windy conditions.

Both teams keepers had exceptional games. Waiuku keeper Vicki Watson received player of the day, stepping up to show that she could foot it against the Springs premier keeper and a strong strike force.

Coach Cody Ralph was proud of his whole team adding that "the score did not reflect the hard fought even match up of these two teams".
