The third week in, the Women’s Reserves took on Papatoetoe at Murdoch Park. 

A strong start by both teams saw consistency of play down both ends of the field.   The back line were in full force again with exceptional play by Jahna Stephens, Shirley Patterson (player of the day), Jodie Dempster and Emma Thomson.  Unfortunately nearing the end of the first half, Papatoetoe took a sharp right shot bring the score to 1-0 in the first half.

The second half the blues found more vigor to dominate the majority of the remaining 40 minutes.    After our girls had an attempt at a corner, Papatoetoe cleared the ball the out to be trapped by right back Jahna Stephens and she took a blinding shot back towards the home goal and straight in to the back of the net to finish the game at 1-1.
