PREMIER RESERVES
By Annette Van Den Broek @ 7:40 p.m. :: 247 Views :: 1 Comments :: :: Senior Mens

This is what Waiuku found out when they took on Bay Olympic at the fortress on saturday. The Blues started well & within 5mins Eric Rozeboom opened the scoring. At this stage the Blues thought this was to be a walk in the park but the Bay responded 13 mins later to equalize. Due to defencive errors Bay came back & it cost the team 2 more goals in the 30th & 37th min leaving Waiuku 3.1 down at the break.
The Blues came out in the second half & again applied pressure on the Bays defence which resulted in receiving a penalty in the 68th min. Jesse Smyth-Kirk converted this to make the score 3.2. The Blues pressed on but could not find the equalizer they wanted & with 75% of the game the Blues were gobsmacked at how they let 3 points slip away. On that note they will have to be on their game next week as they take on Fencibles at Riverhills Park.
