3RD WOMENS
By Annette Van Den Broek @ 12:58 p.m. :: 130 Views :: 0 Comments :: :: Senior Womens

This weekends game was in the most trying of conditions to date. We encountered wind rain & hail which resulted in some untidy football at times. The Blues needed to win against Pukekohe to secure 3rd position. Still missing a main striker We created chances & it was another weekend of near misses. Pukekohe took the lead in the 1st half after a ball was deflected a couple of times (not sure if it was an OG or not).
Second half the weather was a bit more pleasant but the field was quite waterlogged and made running hard work. Pukekohe seamed to adapt to the conditions a little better than Us & went 2 up. We kept pressing their defence & were happy to finally get a goal. We never gave up & did give them a few scarry moments where We could have equalized but it wasn't to be. Final score 1.2 loss. Goal scorer Desiree.
That was the last game in Our competition We are waiting to see if AFF are going to allocate any more games to us. We finished 4th & would like to thank Our Coach Derek & Our many supporters for comming along to watch Us each week.
