The Blues had a change of venue for saturdays game against Uni Mt Wellington. We played at Waiuku College's no1 field which was in great condition. Uni Mt were above the Blues on the points table & both team's hadn't played each other so both teams were looking for the 3 points. Both teams started well with football being played at both ends of the pitch. Waiuku were first on the score sheet when Greg Seed slotted home his shot in the 16th min. Uni Mt applied pressure & were rewarded with an equalizing goal in the 35th min. The Blues regrouped & started to pressure again but no matter what they did lady luck was not with them as shot after shot could not find the back of the net. Subsequently the teams were all tied up at the break.

Second half saw both teams attacking again with the Blues having a few more chances to go ahead but as in the first half it was going to be another one of those games were no matter what the ball could not find the net. A dubious offside for Uni Mt let them go a goal ahead & it seemed to have taken the wind out of Waiuku's sails & the team struggled to get back into shape. 10 mins before full time Uni Mt scored their 3rd goal & killed off the game for the Blues. Final score 1.3 loss.
(Note) For the football We played it was great for Opportunities created great but for taking our chances more consistancy is needed. Keep the consistancy & have patience take those chances & We will win more games. Man of the Match Tawatchai Thongplew (King)
