PREMIER RESERVES

Saturday saw Waiuku host Eastern Suburbs & were hoping to do as well as they did in their last encounter when the score was 4.2 for Waiuku. The Blues took to the field again this week with 8 players & from the kick off were under pressure. Within 5 mins they were down 1 nil but they then rallied together & started to play their own game & with the rest of the team arriving 10 mins later they started to apply pressure of their own. Half time approached but the score remained the same.
The second half was disappointing as basic defensive errors gave Suburbs 3 easy goals. This did not faze the team & they came back at Suburbs with 2 well taken goals of their own from Logan Tukiri & Prawet Waenthongkhasi. As we got down to the dieing seconds Suburbs managed to score again finishing the match 2.5 winning the league. In general not a bad performance but some of the players need to show more commitment to the team. Man of the Match Greg Seed.
