Waiuku Women's Premiers Up to the Challenge?

There can be no question that the ladies in blue are as prepared as they can be and rearing to go as the climax of the Division 2 season approaches. After another win on away territory in the weekend, 3-1 over Papatoetoe, the Waiuku women are eager to face their mysterious rivals, Onehunga in less than a week's time.

While Waiuku currently hold the top spot on the table, they have not yet played the only team that still has the power to overthrow them in this round. Onehunga have a game in hand over the Blues and have won every match they have played this season. Waiuku are also undefeated, but dropped two points early in the season with a draw against the now third-placed Western Springs side. So thus far Waiuku have never been the irrefutable champions of the league.

But that could all change this weekend in what is likely to be an action-packed top-of-the-table clash, when Massey Park sees Green finally meet Blue on Sunday. We hope to get plenty of support for the home side as the Premiers look to make their top rank official. Best of luck ladies!
